Turmeric Weight loss tea Recipe


Hey, guys, I’m Nita Homier today I’m sharing a traditional Ayurvedic turmeric tea recipe since monsoons have officially started here in corridor Kerala to boost my immunity and help fight diseases that come during this part of the time I have been using this turmeric tea for about a week.

Turmeric not only helps in weight loss but also is an immune-boosting superfood, turmeric can help boost the health of your immune system through its amazing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Studies have even shown that turmeric has anti-carcinogenic properties thanks to the active compound found in turmeric known as core cumin helps boost your immune health by helping your body defend itself and a function at its best capability.

To make turmeric weight loss tea recipe I’m using fresh turmeric root so you can also use turmeric powder fresh turmeric roots are easily available at shops. Now first peel the skin of the fresh turmeric root with a spoon as I’m showing in the video.

and guys fresh turmeric does stay in your hand so please be aware of that. Now into my stone mortar and pestle, I’m adding in 6 black peppercorns and yes my stone grinder does have turmeric stain. As I have been making this tea for my family for more than a week. Now the reason why I am using freshly ground black pepper is that pepper increases the absorption of the active ingredient in turmeric known as coal cumin faster into the body.


So it’s highly important that you add black pepper powder when you use turmeric for better absorption.Now add in the turmeric root and crush it gently and once it is nicely crushed remove it using a wooden spoon and then add it into a saucepan, add in 1 cup water and bring this to a boil and once it boils put the flame on the lowest and allow it to simmer for about a minute and then turn off the heat.

Now add in 1/4 TSP Desi Ghee and the reason why I am using Desi Ghee is because coal cumin the active ingredient in turmeric is also fat soluble. Meaning turmeric needs a fat to be dissolved and then absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

So you need the little bit of fat in the form of Desi Ghee or even coconut oil in this tea now cover it and let it steep for about a minute and after about a minute remove the cover and you can see that the sediments have settled down.

so you don’t actually need to strain this now carefully pour the tea into a serving cup and as you can see the sediments has settled down now this immune-boosting tea can be had by anyone and those with thyroid PCOS diabetes and arthritis will really benefit from including turmeric tea in their diet.

Now have this immune-boosting antioxidant rich and metabolic boosting turmeric tea first thing in the morning on empty stomach for best results.
